Since I haven't posted anything in several years I figured I should post this, even tho its just a small thing.
My first venture into Nanite land and Nanite vegetation, a set of architectural Ivy meshes.
Made with fully Opaque material to maximize nanite rendering speed(I hope)
I scanned the leaves myself with a Photometric Stereo setup (I think thats what its called)
The vines were created in Blender and then I hand placed every single f*cking leaf on every mesh =I
My personal take after this little project is, that while nanite is cool for vegetation, I am not so sure that the increase in quality and fidelity is worth the rather insame amounts of extra time it takes to create something.
But maybe I just need better workflows, who knows!
Available on Unreal Marketplace right now if you need some Nanite Ivy for a scene!
