THE FINALS - Bernal - Vegetation

I didn't do any hands-on level work on Bernal, but I did get a chance to do what I enjoy the most, creating all the new vegetation for the level.
Bernal presented a few new and original challenges as there was a lot of pretty weird vegetation present in the ref images that our scanning crew brought back(like the insanely square-cut trees)

As I was not part of the scanning crew this time, I had to get creative with what the team brought back, combined with some kit-bashing of older scans and a sprinkle of Megascan textures to fill in the blanks.

I think the end result turned out alright. There is always things you want to improve or do differently, but in production and on a tight deadline, sacrifices has to be made and artistic ego checked in at the door :P

Bernal was the second level or "project" that I used Photometic Stereo Scanning for the leaves and details(Kyoto was the first) so I was still learning and developing that workflow.

This level was a good step on the way for developing a unique style of vegetation for both THE FINALS and myself :)
